The Current State of Work: Choosing to Make a Difference

2022 has been an interesting year. People are leaving in droves. “The great resignation” has evolved into a new conversation about “silent quitting.” Leaders continue to tolerate low performers and toxic attitudes in fear of adding to their list of open positions.

It doesn’t have to all be doom and gloom.

We recently came across an episode from Brene Brown’s “Dare to Lead” podcast (linked below) that deeply resonated with us. In this conversation with Simon Sinek and Adam Grant, the three thought leaders talk through a variety of topics, including what high performers actually look like and how to bring the human element back into what we do.

Join Mahoney Performance Institute’s Principal Consultant, Bruce Parsons, for an open forum discussion on key topics discussed in this epsiode:

  • Finding calm amidst chaos and uncertainty
  • Effectively expressing ourselves at work
  • Operationalizing your culture
  • Communication vs. connection
  • Hard skills and human skills
